August 30th, 2-4pm.
In this class you will learn:
+ printing with flowers and leaves onto natural cloth
+ identifying plants which contain dye properties
+ practical knowledge to keep creating at home
Eco-printing is a wonderful way to connect with your garden and plants.
Your class enrollment includes:
- Cotton drawstring bag for dying
- Dye plants harvested from Flowerland
- Tools and materials to complete the dyeing process
- The Modern Natural Dyer book available for purchase
Teacher Bio:
Kristine Vejar is the co-owner and founder of A Verb for Keeping Warm, an Oakland-based natural dyeing studio and yarn and fabric store. She has written two books on the subject of natural dyeing: The Modern Natural Dyer and Journeys in Natural Dyeing. She adores nature and loves to cook, garden, read, dye, make, and hang out with her pups, Callie and Jasper. She also loves to introduce people to the art and science of natural dyeing.
